A five week, adventure helping, providing advice and tuition to the owner of “SV Reality”. Sailing her some 1,800NM, from Southampton UK to her new home in Cartagena Spain.

“SV Infinity 10” New Lagoon 46 Nov to Dec 2022

We joined SV Infinity on Thursday 17th of November with an expected three to four week time frame to help the owner of a new 2022 Lagoon 46 to sail her from La Rochelle France to Las Palmas Gran Canarias in time for him to head back to the US in time for some important family events prior to Christmas. Unfortunately there were still some outstanding third party commissioning works to be done of the yacht in addition to some adverse weather conditions. We waited over a week for loose ends to be tied up and favourable weather to allow us to make our way across the Bay of Biscay. Sailing to Gijon, then A Coruna in Spain and Cascais in Portugal the hop off point for a direct sail to Las Palmas. This is the first year in my living memory that a large number of tropical lows formed one after the other in the North Atlantic providing day after day of strong Southerly winds all the way from Cascais to the Canaries. The owner ran out of time and had to fly home, at which point we rallied several of our team members to join the yacht and wait for an appropriate weather window. Myself, Tony Clark and two of my team members Brian my First Mate and Mikey my trusted crew member, managed to leave Cascais on Thursday 15th December and arrive in Las Palmas late Tuesday afternoon Tuesday 20th December 2022.
